Projects of the Rotary Club of Howard West

All members have the right to recommend projects. The club will partner with other Rotary Clubs as well as with other organizations in fund raising and project support.  International projects will include cooperation with a club in the designated country

Several of our members have been members of other clubs.  Here are projects our club has supported to date:

  • Howard County Community College – 2 scholarships
  • Rebuilding Together – Repairs, painting, landscaping
  • Soup R’ Sundae – Raising money for Grassroots
  • Linwood Center for Autistic Children – Funding
  • Domestic Violence Center for Howard County – Funding
  • Healthcare for the Homeless – Funding
  • Disaster Aid – Shelters for victims of disaster in Haiti, Thailand,… - Funding
  • Success in Style – Business clothes for the less fortunate
  • Care bears to children with cancer at Hopkins Hospital
  • Magazines for inpatient unit in Baltimore
  • Interview Day at Wilde Lake High School - provide students with their first experience with undergoing interviews and how to improve their approach
  • Maanasi Project – Mental health project in India for 187 villages – major fund raiser

Rotary Trivia Night


Date: Thursday, May 20th, 8:00pm Eastern Time


This event will be held on Zoom.

Event fee is $20 per person (NOTE: this is per person, not per team). While this is the minimum, more is always appreciated! With a donation of $200 or more, we will name one of the trivia rounds after you & you can choose the topic!

All proceeds will go directly to the Howard West Rotary Club to support matching for a district grant benefitting Planting Seeds International, an NGO that provides educational resources to children and families of zone 7 of Guatemala City.
